Zynga, Inc.'s popular online game, Farmville, is available to play through Facebook, or at farmville.com. Players can grow and harvest many different crops, animals, and trees. Players can also buy decorations, such as fences, buildings, and planters, to place around their farms for personalization.
Players start off with a small farm, a small amount of money, and at level 1. Experience is earned by planting and harvesting crops, and buying items at the store. Different crops cost different amounts of money, and ripen in different amounts of time between 2 hours and 4 days. As players level up, more items are unlocked to purchase. Players can also earn experience by "mastering" crops, which means they've planted a certain number of a crop.
Different players have different goals for playing Farmville. Some might want to master all crops. Others may want to earn lots of money to buy certain items, such as an expensive house. Others might want to decorate their farm a certain way. Farmville is very open-ended so that players can play the way they want
Crafting Cottages
When harvesting crops, players have a chance to collect a bushel. Bushels can be used in many ways. They can be used to make pig slop, to feed a farm's pigs. They can be used for a temporary boost, which will either give the player extra experience points when harvesting that crop, or give them extra credits toward that crop's mastery. Finally, bushels can be used in recipes to create items to sell.
Players can choose to specialize in one of three different crafting cottages: spa, winery, or bakery. The spa uses bushels like flowers and aloe vera to create lotions and sachets. The bakery uses grains and berries to create cakes and pies. The winery uses grapes to create sake and wines. Each crafting cottage has 15 recipes that are unlocked as the player creates more and more items. Depending on which cottage a player chooses, they should specialize in growing the crops needed to produce that cottage's recipes.
Bushels Needed For Spa Recipes
The following bushels, in alphabetical order, are used for crafting spa recipes:
- aloe vera
- basil
- black berry
- blueberry
- coffee
- cranberry
- daffodil
- ghost chili
- ginger
- green tea
- iris
- lavender
- lemon balm
- lilac
- lily
- morning glory
- pepper
- pink rose
- pumpkin
- purple poppy
- red tulip
- strawberry
- sunflower
These bushels are all that are needed to create spa recipes, once a player has unlocked all 15 possible recipes. Some recipes require up to 4 of a certain bushel. All other bushels not in the list can be grown for fun, experience, or to be turned into pig slop. Focusing on growing only the spa bushels listed above will allow a player to level up their spa and recipes quickly.
